DHR Employee Online Training Requirements for 2022
The City and County of San Francisco has important online training requirements that employees must complete by December 31, 2022. These trainings help employees learn about City policies, procedures, expectations, priorities, and are available in SF Learning via the Employee Portal.
Mandatory Training for All Employees
|Online training to help employees understand the City’s Whistleblower Program and the protections employees receive through this program.|
|1-hour training created by the California Dept. of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). Required for all employees in non-supervisory classifications.|
|Cybersecurity Training (auto-enrolled July)||Required annually for all City employees; additional Cybersecurity modules required for supervisory designations and IT classifications|
Mandatory Training for Managers and Supervisors
|Cybersecurity additional modules
|Required for supervisory designations and IT classifications.|
|Required for all supervisory classifications. The training will provide you with simple strategies on how you can safely intervene when you see harassment occurring in the workplace.|
|Harassment Prevention for Supervisors, Managers, and Leads
(auto-enrolled March 2022)
|2-hour training created by the California Dept. of Fair Employment and Housing (DEFH).|
|Core Interactive Ethics and Sunshine
|Required annually for all Deputy Directors and employees who have responsibilities for contracting and/or purchasing.|
How to Take the Training
If the class is listed above as auto-enroll it will show up automatically in your Current Learning. If the class is listed as self-enroll, click the spyglass on the top right and enter the name of the class.

Group training option
Some employees do not have easy access to computers and/or have difficulty accessing training in SF Learning. To ensure these employees fulfill training requirements, departments can offer a viewing of the course to employees in a group setting.
- Launch the course from SF Learning and show to the group.
- Supervisor sends the Training Documentation Form listing all employees who attended the group training to firstname.lastname@example.org for documentation.
- Results show in the employee training history after 1-2 weeks.

RPD Safe Work Practices
Training on the Safe Work Practices listed in the correct Risk Group in the Department’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Your PPAR evaluation will be based on the completion of the SAMs as listed in the Safety Awareness Meeting Matrix.
Executive staff, purchasing/contracting staff members, and staff with approved signature authority must complete:
